Khadullu (Hanging Panas)

The khadullu or hanging panas are beautiful oil lamps seen in temples and homes of Nepal, especially in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan. The hanging ghee/oil lamp is traditional lamp used in Indian and Nepalese place of worships or houses. They are used by people to purify the atmosphere around the house. It is believed that lighting of ghee lamp attracts subtle positive frequencies present in the universe and gets transmitted around it, which then bring positive energy around where the lamp is lit. This comes in pair of two panas.
